I saw her walking down the sidewalk
and I knew from that very day
I'd do anything I could to make her walk my way
well I finally got to know her
she started getting closer to me
so I let her in I had to see where it would lead
now I'm sitting here falling apart
she was only playing with my heart
and it was love at first sight
until I took a second look inside
now I wish that I would have held her only in my mind
love at first sight used to feel so right
just dreaming of her every night
love at first sight
Well I played the game by her rules
as long as I could
I knew she really didn't love me and never would
more and more I could see
how I let her take me for a ride
more and more I could see
that it was time for me to hide
so much of me wanted to stay
but I knew I had to get away
'cause it was love at first sight
until I took a second look inside
now I wish that I would have held her only in my mind
love at first sight used to feel so right
just dreaming of her every night
